「甲状軟骨の後面正中部から起こり、披裂軟骨の声帯突起および楕円窩との間に張り、喉頭粘膜の声帯ヒダ中に入る。声帯を弛緩して声門を狭くする。臨床では、この筋を内筋 internusと呼ぶ。 」

【 起 始 】： 甲状軟骨の正中部の後面

　　　　　　※起始部よりほぼ水平に走る。　

【 停 止 】： 披裂軟骨の筋突起および楕円窩（日本人体解剖学）

　・ 神 経 ： おそらく「甲状披裂筋」と同じと考えてよいと思われる。つまり

　　　　　　　　下喉頭神経（反回神経（迷走神経の枝）の枝）
