「Rauber-Kopsch解剖学」では上記の陥凹のほかに以下のような名称の陥凹が見られる。

「脳の正中断面では三角陥凹Recessus triangularisを除き，これらの諸陥凹を最もよく概観することができるが，三角陥凹は図428に示したような標本では最もはっきりと見られるのである．この陥凹は前交連と両側の脳弓柱とのあいだに存在している(図431)．視束陥凹Recessus opticusは第三脳室終板と視神経交叉とのあいだにある．漏斗陥凹は漏斗のなかにあって，これは視神経交叉のうしろにある(図410)． 」

「The pineal recess is a small angular recess or diverticulum that sits at the posterior margin of the third ventricle, and extends posteriorly into the stalk(茎) of the pineal gland. It is superior to the cerebral aqueduct.
Some anatomists describe a separate "suprapineal recess" superior to the pineal recess.」
