胸骨柄結合とは

「胸骨柄結合は胸骨柄と胸骨体の連結。初めは軟骨結合であるが、成人では線維軟骨結合になる。対向する骨の面は薄い硝子軟骨の層で被われ、それが線維軟骨板で結合される。線維軟骨板に小腔をふくむことがある。また、骨化してこの結合が不動になることもある。」
